BRITISH OBJECT LESSONS. STIMULATION OF INTEREST, Times. —Sun. LONDON, Feb. 17. The Times states that arrangements are being made in various parts of the country to stimulate) interest in Empire products. The Grocers' Association is planning a scries of Empire shopping weeks. The object of the campaign is to supplement the lesson of tho Empire Exhibition by bringing homo to all classes tho Empire's resources. A scheme is being matured in London to form an Empire Fruit Corporation to organise more effective marketing and lo restrict foreign competition. A provisional committee representing the principal Empire interests, including those of New Zealand and Australia, has already been set up. The corporation will have fruit consigned direct to its own warehouses, and make advances to growers, thus eliminating brokers and speculators, and effecting economies in distribution. Otherwise it will use ordinary trade channels.
