ELIMINATING THE SLUM. INTEREST OF THE CHURCHES. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHUBCH, Tuesday. At a meeting of the Council of Christian Congregations it was resolved:—"That the council requests the citizens association candidate and labour candidates at the forthcoming municipal elections to indicate their attitude toward the housing question in the city, particularly as to a continuance oE houses that fall beneath the level of healthy living conditions."
