Tho Otahuhu Trotting Club will open its summer meeting on Saturday next, and the character of the acceptances received for the various events which form tho programme are such as to ensure a, first-class day a sport. Ae he is goioa to Canterbury after the Olahuhii meeting, it Js. probable ho will make his Iwrt appearance in Auckland at that fixture, and a victory for him would be very popular, but, judging from bis present mark, he has the hardest part, to play. By his .sterling performances Man-o-War lias won his way right to the hearts of Aucklandera. and , we will bo sorry to lose him. Mr. J.
