REQUESTS FOR EXTENSION. ADJOURNMENT OF CASES. [by te.lec.raph.—press association.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. The first applications for an extension of the moratorium under the Mortgages Final Extension Act came before the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, in the Supreme Court to-day. No fewer than 30 cases were set down for consideration. In tho majority of cases there was no appearance of the parties. Ten cases were adjourned until March 3. The Chief Justice stated that a case involving an amount less than £IOOO would bo referred to a magistrate to be dealt with.
