FIREBLIGHT IN NORTH.
.tjs. CONTROL OF THE PEST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAKEI. Wednesday. A reply has been received by Mr, P. Everett, local orchard instructor, that his diagnosis of fireblight as applying to several local orchards was correct. Consequently local fruitgrowers are perturbed, and Mr. Everitt has been asked to address a meeting of orchardists upon the appearance, and cause and methods of control of the disease.
