The Federal Ministry lias decided to continue the embargo on the importation of sugar into Australia for three ven;s. 35 from August 31 next.

This assistance will be given the sugar industry subject to its compliance with certain conditions regarding the price of sugar to the consume;- and other matters.

The retail price of small parcels of refined sugar remains as at present, but there will be concessions of various kinds embodying advantages to iiie consumer as compared with the present arrangement.
