An expedition to explore the Sepik Valley, in the mandated territory of New Guinea, for oil wells, leaves Sydney shortly.

Permission is given to search over 1000 square miles of territory. It is expected the expedition will last 12 months, and be in wireless communication with Sydney. all the time.
