WASH-OUT ON RAILWAY.
DISLOCATION OF TRAFFIC. TROUBLE NEAR DANNEIVIRKE. [BY TELEORAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] i DANNEVIEKE. Saturday. Traffic by rail and road north of Dannevirke was greatly dislocated to-day by a washout on the railway between Matamau and Makotuku. This; is still blocking traffic. This mor'.ing's slow trains were cancelled, and passengers by the north and south expresses havo to tranship at the washout, which will result in unavoidable delay. The main road to Napier is closed owing to extensive damage- to the bridge near Matamau, and other roads are also blocked by slips and damaged culverts. The weather is still wet.
