MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.
CAR RUNS INTO SLIP.
PLUNGE OVER A BANK.
[BY telegraph.—press association.] DANNEVIRKE. Thursday.
A party, consisting of Dr. Dawson, Messrs. P. Pritchard, R. E. Bunny, and R. Hawley, had a niiraculous escape in a motor accident whon returning from the Napier wool sa.le. The party in the car also included Mr. and Mrs. Stowe and three children, from Hastings, who were found in troubhi with their own car and were given a lift. After passing Mattnau bridge the fully loaded car dived head first over a bank, turning three somersaults. All escaped unhurt except Mr. Pritchard, who was badly bruiised. The accident was caused through a slip on the road, which was run into at 11 o'clock lasi. evening in heavy rain.
