De Conlay told the Court that he had been acting as propaganda ag»snt for various interests since 1921. The death of M. Gounaris, the Greek Premier, deprived him of £10,000 promised to him for watching Gounaris' commercial end political interests in London.
It was added by De Conlay that he expected £50,000 for Matching German interests, but the assassination of Herr Itathenau, the German Minister for Finance, with whom an arrangement had been made, intervened.
