On resuming, after half-time, the Cambridge backs got going several times, but met with powerful defence. A good movement by the Oxford backs ended in Jacob scoring a, try, and Berkeley converted. In the last few minutes Devitt scored a try.for Cambridge. Barlow failed to convert.

Raymond, who , was in an unfamiliar position at fullback, made the most outstanding success in the match. Except for his occasional tendency to play overfar forward his display was practically faultless, and enhanced his claims to the recognition of the international selectors. Wallace and Aitken constituted an effective right wing, and played with splendid understanding. The former's try was a brilliant individual effort in which he beat four men. Aitken's defensive work and touch-finding were noteworthy. Wesche was always a conspicuous figure in the Oxford pack, which, although eclipsed in the loose, held its own in the scrummage.
