Dec. 9, The Council "of the League of -Nations to-day agreed to tlu British proposal to postpone discussion of the Geneva protocol until the next session. M. Brland (France) and Signor Salandra (Italy) were among those who approved the proposal. The Council decided to convene an international conference in May, 1925, to draw up a convention to control the international traffic in arms and munitions. The United States has. agreed to take; part in the conference. :'->•■<- >• .■:,-• -

It was also decided to surrifhon the com-" mittee which is investigating the question of the private manufacture of arms and munitions to meet on February 16, 1925.
