MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. ATTITUDE TOWARD PENSIONS. The Auckland South African War i (Veterans' Association met last evening Mr. W. G. Camp presiding over an attendance of about 50 members. ( It was decided to disagree with the • action of the Government in granting. a Blight increase in the old-age pension, and < calling it a South African war pension. , in place of a military pension, which members maintained was their right, and which had been promised by the Prime Minister on two occasions. It was decided to recommend the Dominion executive to write to the Government and ask when the Act already on the Statute Book bringing South African veterans, under the Discharged Solx*l BeMement Act would-become law. air.
