The negative is then placed on a glass cylinder containing an incandescent lamp, the light from which js focussed in a minute beam on the film as the cylinder is set in motion. As the light and dark portions of the picture are traversed by the light beam, the intension of the ray is changed. After passing through the film the beam strikes the sensitive element of the photo-electric > cell, which transforms the light, waves into electric impulses, which are transmitted by radio in the same manner as dots and dashes. i - «—• ■■- - •
