HERO'S DOWNFALL.
CAPTURED 20 GERMANS. OF MONEYLENDERS. . LONDON. Dec. 3. Reginald Knight, an ex-Rugby international, has been sentenced to three years' imprisonment for forging cheques for £2400 while town clerk of Guildlord. His counsel, in appearing for a light sentence, said that Knight enlisted as a private during the European War, and won a commission within a month. He was awarded the* D.S.O. for capturing single-handed twenty Germans and five jmachine guns. Subsequently, however, he fell into the bauds of moneylenders through guaranteeing £2000 to assist a friend in business. - .
