CAMPAIGN PREPARATIONS.
PARLIAMENTARY AND CIVIC.

Labour nominations of candidates for tho selection ballots in tho five Welling- | ton Parliamentary districts have been received by tho Wellington Labour Representation Council. They are as follow.— North, Mr. H. E. Combs; South, Mr. R. McKeen, M.P. ; East, Mr. A. L. Monteith, M.P.; Central, Mi'- P. Eraser, M.P.; suburbs, Messrs. W. Bromley, T. Brindle, C. H. Chapman and A. W. Croskery. Mr. Combs stood for tho North seat at the last general election, being defeated by Sir John Luke by a small majority. Mr. Croskery, who ha? been nominated with others for Wellington suburbs, contested the seat with Mr. It. A. Wright at tho last election and ho also was defeated by a small majority in a straight-out fig at. Labour is also pieparing very actively for tho municipal elections and it has been decided to put candidates in tho field for the Mayoralty, City Council, Harbour Board and Hospital Board. The name of Mr. C. H. Chapman has been mentioned frequently in connection with j the Mayoralty.
