ALIEN IMMIGRANTS.
AUSTRALIA SETS LIMIT. SOUTH-EAST EUROPEANS. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. Dec. 5. With reference to the statement that there was danger of a considerable influx into Australia of Yugoslavs, Greeks and other Southern Europeans, the Prime Minister, Mr. S. M. Bruce, stated that arrangements had been made that passport vises for Australia in favour of Yugoslavs and Greeks should not exceed one hundred monthly of each nationality. Preference will be given to those who have knowledge of English and possess some capital, or intend to proceed to Australia for the purpose of joining close relatives.
