AMALGAMATION CONFERENCE

REVENUE SHOWS INCREASE. [BY TEUJGHAPH. OWN COHHESPONDENT. 3 Cambridge, Friday. The monthly meeting of the Cambridge Electric Power Board was presided over by Mr. Mervyn Wells.

The Central Board wrote suggesting a conference to discuss amalgamation of the Cambridge Board with the Central Board. It was resolved to hold a conference on Tuesday.

The engineer reported that rural lighting and heating now stood at 341 consumers, milking motors 208, Cambridge lighting and heating 306, water heaters 9o; and ranges 30. The financial position was improving, Cambridge town and Leamington showing £2325 19s 4d, an increase' over the same period of six months of last year of £240 lis Id. The country area totalled £3065, an increase of £1115 10s 3d, giving a total increase of over £1356. >
