LAWN TENNIS.
THREE CLUBS OPEN TO-DAY.
Three local tennis clubs have reserved their openings for to-day. They are the Auckland Club, whoso courts are situated at the foot of Grafton Road, where considerable improvements have been made to the courts; the Takapuna Club, which is growing in strength each year, and caters well for visitors to that marine suburb, and the newly-formed Grammar Club. which, for its first year, has acquired courts on the new area at the hockey grounds, Remnera. f'racticc games will be played at other clubs, and no doubt a watchful eye will be kept by selection committees on the form displayed lty members, especially the new ones. f TOURNAMENT AT TITIKAXGI. The Titirangi Club coc.rts have been top-dressed, and are in fine condition. The tournament starting to-day should prove enjoyable, and provides an opportunity for the enthusiasts to try themselves out earlv in the season. The committee decided yesterday to extend the time for the closing of entries to 1 p.m. to-day on the courts.
