STRAY HORSE KILLED.

! - A horse astray on the tramline in Manukau*Road, at the corner of Owen's Road, was responsible for damage sustained by a tramcar last evening, about 10.45 o'clock. The tram was proceeding to the Epsom barn at a fair speed, when it crashed into the horse. The latter was entangled beneath the front bogey of the ' car, and some minutes were occupied in extricating it. The animal was seriously injured, and had to be destroyed Considerable damage .was caused to the front portion of the tram by the impact, and the service was delayed for about 15 minutes. . The motorman and. the few passengers in the car escaped 'with' a fairly severe shaking.
