Defendant first pleaded not;: guilty, but afterwards withdrew that plea. I The Public Health inspector, Mr. A. P. Bennett, gave evidence as to sending .a sample for analysis. The certificate showed that the milk contained 8 per cent, of added: water. Witness had ' known defendant :as - a milk vendor t0t,14 years and had taken samples of : his i milk frequently. : He had had no previous com-: plaint to make." • The milk '.complained of contained mora than : ; : the ; ; :- standard * of butter-fat required. .
