WATHI CARPENTERS.

CONCILIATION AGREEMENT. [BIT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAIHI. Friday. A conciliation council, presided over by Mr. P. Hally, was held to-day to consider the dispute between the Waihi district mine-owners and the looal branch of the Auckland Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners. The workers asked for certain increases in wages. Matters were amicably discussed and the parties agreed that the existing working conditions should bo embodied in a new award, wages to bo fixed under the Dominion award in connection with the Amalgamated Society of Engineers to be issued shortly, subject to such wages being not less than those now received.
