EXPORT OF EGGS.
440,000 DOZEN THIS YEAR. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OW\ > CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHTJRCH, Saturday. Arrangements have been made to export 440,000 dozen eggs to London this year, says Mr. G. H. Bradford, manager of Canterbury Co-operative Poultry Producers, Ltd. The arrangements have been made in conjunction with the New Zealand Poultry Association, assisted by Government poultry experts. It was intended that the shipments should commence next month and continue until the middle of December, and that each of the four centres should supply 110,000 dozen, but as Canterbury and Otago were larger producers of eggs than Wellington and Auckland, it is anticipated that Christchunch. and Dunedin would send about 150,000 dozen each. Mr. Bradford said there was undoubtedly a good market for New Zealand eggs in London. It had been proved by trial shipments sent last year.
