The Daily Express states that a remarkable sacrifice has been made in the cause of peace "by the British Government. This is the refusal of an offer received from Baltic interests to buy large quantities of Britain's surplus war material. The MacDonaltf Cabinet not only vetoed the sale, but made a general decision . against all such sales.
It is understood that the sum involved was £10,000,000.
The surplus material will be destroyed.
