MUIR'S GOLD REEFS.
REPORT FOR LAST MONTH.
During the month ended April 30, 1924, the main shaft in the Muir's Gold Beefs mine was sunk 35ft., making a total depth of 447 f- Sinking continued in firm country rock down to 420 ft. From 420 ft. to 430 ft. the country was considerably softer, and from 430 ft. down-wards it hai been firmer again. Sine© the substitution of steel buckets for trucks to hoist the broken rock from the shaft the sinking party has been increased to 12 men.
