RIDING ON THE BUFFERS.
Georee Best, commercial traveller, of Pt->m f ord Hill, appeared at the Court at r Cheshhnt. Herts. recently, charged with riding on the buffers of a carriage on tb«> London and North-Eastern "Railway and ■with travelling without having paid his .'fare. ' ■■.
At a previous hearing it was stated that Bestrode; on the buffers of a passenger train from .Tottenham to Bye House. At every station be jumped down and mounted the buffers again as the train started. , , ■ ■ ' Medical- evidence was t'iven that Best was",-not mentally defective, but was nervous and unstable through', drink. A fine of 5s was imposed in each case. .
