NEW LYNN FORESTERS.

OPENING OF A COURT.

A court of the Ancient Order of Foresters was opened on Thursday in the Congregational Hall, New Lynn. The members of Court Pride of Henderson, who have been very active in promoting the establishment of the new court, were present in full force, and there were many visitors. The . district chief ranger, Fro. W. A. Knaggs, conducted the proceedings. The following officers were elected: Chief Bro, W. Bodley (appointed by the district executive) ; sub-chief ranger, Bro. Cantwell; senior woodward, Bro. G. Ainsworth; junior woodward, Bro. Berkeley; senior beadle. Bro. Eave; junior beadle, Bro. Gnnter; secretary-treasurer, Bro. E. Greenslade. Those present, were afterwards entertained at supper.
