CEREMONY AT GUILDHALL.

Renter. LONDON, May 13. King Ferdinand and Queen Marie of Rumania had a great reception in the city when they drove to the Guildhall to receive an' address of welcome from the citizens. The address -was contained in a gold casket. The Prince of Wales, the ]>uke and Duchess of York, . Prince Henry, Prince and Princess Arthur of Connaught, and other royalties, Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald, Prime Minister, Miss Isobel Mac Donald, all the principal Secretaries of State, Mr. Winston Churchill, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, and Mr. Asquith were among those present. T The "Lord Mayor of London, in his speech, recalled that this was the first occasion on which Their Majesties had ceremonially visited England since their accession in 1914. He referred to the increase of British commercial interests in Rumania. ■■'••._'

King Ferdinand, in replying, said they rejoiced that the dear city of London appreciated the efforts of Rumania to recover herself. He was convinced that Britain would continue to support her endeavours by strengthening and developing British trade with Rumania. The latter's potentialities in oil and other products offered a wide field for activity of British capital trade.
