AUCKLAND CLAIM SUPPORTED

The matter of obtaining Degrees of Engineering at the Auckland University College was discussed at a recent meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board. It was pointed out that a number of students, residing in the board's area, were at present studying at Canterbury College, owing to the fact that they could not obtain the Degree of Engineering at the Auckland University College. This naturally means additional expense and inconvenience. The following resolution was passed: "That the board supports the Auckland University Council in its endeavour to obtain recognition in connection with the course of study in Auckland for the Degree of Engineering." >' ,'
