The chairman of the commission. M. Barthou. and Sir John S. The British Government's reply, -which accepted the experts' reports entirely, was handed to the commission at Paris today. It is stated that the delay in forwarding it was due to the desire of the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald, to consult the Governments of the Dominions. M. Georges Theunis, Prime- Minister of Belgium, and M. Paul Hymans, Minister for Foreign Affairs, are going to Paris on Monday to confer with M. Poincare. They will visit London at the end of next week to confer with Mr. Mac Donald.

Theunis and Hymans sent a letter* to the Reparation Commission declaring that the Belgian Government is willing to adopt the experts' conclusions ' entirely with the view of bringing about a practicable and equitable settlement of the reparation question. They hope the commission will actively prepare the measures entrusted to it under the reports, in order that the plan may promptly be put into execution, ■with a common agreement among the Allied Governments.
