PADEREWSKI'S PET DOG.

DEATH FROM GASTRITIS, A. and N.Z. CHICAGO, April 20. M. Paderewski and his wife now mourn the passing of Pingy, their pet Pekingese, who succumbed to senile gastritis. , The animal's remains have been cremated, and Mme. Paderewski is taking the ashes to Switzerland for burial in the garden of the estate where her other pets were interred. Pingy, during his 15 years of life, accompanied the Paderewskis throughout the world, even attending the Versailles Conference. His span of life has been a third longer than that of the average Pekingese.
