INTEREST IN ENGLAND. INSURANCE SOCIETIES. Australian and W. CaMe Awwciatloß. (Becd. 8.55 p.m.) LONDON. April 14. The annual conference of the Association of Approved Insurance Societies discussed the Spahlinger treatment. The president said that if the treatment •were used consumption could be stamped out like smallpox. The New Zealand Government had offered £50,000 if the Ministry of Health would provide a like sum, but the British money had not materialised. The Ministry of Health was still opposed to the treatment. A resolution was carried urging the executive committee to continue its efforts until the Spahlinger remedy -is- available to the approved societies.
