NEW FRENCH NAVAL BILL.

TWO 10,000-TGX CRUISERS. SIX MORE TORPEDO BOATS. MEDITERRANEAN PATROLS, By Telegraph— Association—Copyright. Times. PARIS. April 1. The French Naval Bill will authorise the laying down of ten naval units in 1924. These will consist of two cruisers of 10,000 tons each, six torpedo boats of 1450 tons each, and two submarines of 1300 tons each. < It is understood that the design of the new cruisers will be the subject of special study by naval experts. They will each have heavy armament, which is particularly needed for patrol work in the Mediterranean. It is indeed toward the Mediterranean that the attention of the French naval and military authorities is being directed. Under the Army Reorganisation Bill the French colonial forces now form part of the regular. French Army. Therefore it is essential for French national defence that safe transport for colonial contingents across the Mediterranean should bo assured.
