THE OFFICIAL CLOSING. ARRANGEMENTS FOB SATURDAY. Arrangements fop the official closing of the yachting season in Auckland, which takes place on Saturday, were made at a meeting of the Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association last > evening. The function will take the form of combined cruising race* of all clubs for yachts and launches to Islington Bay, and harbour races for open boats. Each club v-ill donate its own prizes, and, as a number of boats will be racing in several clnba. they will have an opportunity of winning more' than one prixo. All the races will be started under the five flag system, the starting line being between the tower on King's wharf and the launch Speedwell moored north. The launches v.-ill start at 2.30 p.n\, {be keel yachts at 2.88 p.m., classes H, I. L, and N at 2.46 p.m. The keel yachts and classes H, I, and L will proceed to their destination via the Saltworks beacon in Rangitoto Channel on starboard hand, keeping the channel side of Sandspit beacon, Bern Hock lighthouse, and the red beacon off Islington Bay. Class N and launches will proceed direct to the bay. keeping outside the Sandspit beacon. Bean Rock liehthouso, and the red beacon off Islington Bay. The course for the lßft. aid under classes is from starting line, round Sandspit beacon, round Resolution buoy, thence round starter's launch off King's Wharf, twice round, keeping all marks on starboard.
