THE BEACH AT MURIWAI.

CONTROL FOR MOTOR RACES. ARRANGEMENTS FOR FUTURE As a result of the dangerous crowding of the spectators which characterised the recent Muriwai motor-car races, the Auckland Automobile Association has taken steps to ensure that the next races will be held under conditions more favourable to competitors and less risky to the onlookers. In response to representations, the Secretary of Marine, has signified that th« association will be granted full control of the beach itself during the progress of the race nietings, on condition that arrangements are made for police supervision. Control of the foreshore from the rocks up to the creek, will be vested by the government in the Motutara Domain Board. It is hoped that with this definition of controlling authority, organisation will be facilitated and confusion and delay in parking eliminated.
