IN QUEST OF DEER.
SPORT FOR LORD JELLICOE. THREE HEADS SECURED. COMPANIONS UNSUCCESSFUL [Dt TELEGRAPH.—OWN correspondent.] INVERCARGILL. Monday. The Governor-General returned to Queenstown yesterday from a seven-days' deer-stalking expedition at Paradise, Lake Wakatipu. The party was not very successful. Lord Jellicoe himself shot three deer, on# being a twelve-pointer. The other members of tho party were not successful. Lord Jellicoe had a hospitable reception from settlers in the district, with the scenic splendour of which he was greatly impressed. His Excellency and suite left to-day for Dunedin.
