SWIMMING PRIZES.
DEVONPORT CLUB'S WORK.
The presentation of prizes in connection with the Devonport Amateur . Swimming Club was held on Friday night. The president, Mr. J. J. P. Clouston, spoke of the progress the club had made after having been defunct for some years. Last season closed with a membership of nearly 200. One of the chief objects of the club has been to encourage swimming among the pupils of the North Shore schools. The club had beep assisted in its efforts by Mr. Mallabond, who presented a shield, which last season was won by the Devonport school.
