FRENCH WAR SLOOP.

ARRIVAL .OF ALDEBARAN.

TO VISIT THE SOUTH.

The French war sloop Aldebaran, under command of Captain Husson, arrived at Auckland from Noumea on a short visit to the Dominion last evening and anchored in the stream. The vessel was intended to make a stay of fifteen days here, during which time she was to go iato dock for overhaul, prior to proceeding South, but as the dock is not available at present she will first visit Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, returning later to Auckland for docking.
