AUCKLANDER GIVES £2000. RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP. [BT TELEGEAPH. — ASSOCIATION. ] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. The Ofcago University Council has received a letter from an Auckland benefactor, who desires to remain anonymous, notifying his intention of giving £2000 to the university. The writer expresses the desire that, the revenue derived be devoted to one' scholarship of £100 per annum, or two of £50, in a subject involving research. The subject is to b® other than classics or pure mathematics.
