AUCKLAND VALUATIONS.

DRAINAGE DISTRICT AREAS. TOTAL' NEARLY £37,000,000. MANY OLD ASSESSMENTS. The capital values of the districts incorporated in the Auckland drainage district now total £36,962,794. A detailed report by the officer-in-charge .of the .Valuation Department was submitted to the meeting of the Auckland and Sub-, urban Drainage Board last evening. Eden Borough ... 2,648,955 1916 Newmarket Borough 775.055 1914 Avondale Borough (portion) .... 558,710 1920 One Tree Hill Road (portion) ... 987,008 1922 £36,962,794 It was noted in the report that the Jtotal for One Tree Hill Road District was less than last year, on account of transfers from ratable to non-ratable assessments. Valuations of the Remuera district and Avon dale Borough are to' be revised as at March 31, 1924. In the course of a discussion on the report several members drew pointed attention to the fact that in, a' number of cases the capital values had not been revised for a long time, Parnell being cited as a somewhat ancient computation. . It was resolved to write to the Valuation Department suggesting that the old valuations be brought up to date.
