TWENTY-THREE NATIONS. •NEW ZEALANDERS V. CZECHS Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Mar. 17. The draw for the Davis Cup contest is as follows:— American Zone.—Cuba v. Canada; Australia v. China;. Japan drew a bye in the upper half and will play the winner of the Cuba v. Canada match; Mexico drew a bye in the lower half and will meet the winner of the Australia v. China contest. European Zone.—ln the upper half Ireland v. France; Holland v. India South Africa v. Argentine; Spain drew a bye and will meet the winner of the Britain v. Belgium match. In the lower half: Denmark v. Hungary Italy v. Switzerland; New Zealand v. Czecho Slovakia. The committee announces that the challenges of Hungary and Austria were received, but were not made public pending their submission to the other challengers, who promptly responded with the requisite number of affirmative votes to permit their participation.
