ARNE BORG'S VISIT.

ENTHUSIASTIC FAREWELL. Am© Borg, the Swedish champion swimmer, who was a through passenger for Vancouver by the Niagara, wat, accorded an enthusiastic farewell by local swimmers yesterday. The Auckland Swimming Centre was '■ represented by the chairman, Mr. A. J. Fernandez. Borg was the recipient of several keepsakes from admirers and was heartily cheered as the vessel left the wharf. He intends to visit Honolulu, where he will compete against the American champions. Afterwards he will proceed to San Francisco, thence to Paris, to represent Sweden at the Olympic Games. It is Borg's intention to take up his residence in Sydney after the Games.
