BLASTING ACCIDENT.

A PREMATURE SHOT. TWO WORKERS -INJURED. [BY TELEGRAPH. — CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI. Friday. While two men were working some distance up the face of Mr. D. Tennant s qnarry, within the Whangarei Borough, this afternoon, a premature shot took place, with the result that Martin Delaney sustained injuries to his arms, chest, find face. His fellow workman, Jack Mareich, was wounded in the forehead arid face. With commendable pluck Delaney held his comrade by a retaining rope until assistance was forthcoming. After first aid had been rendered both men were removed to the Whangarei Hospital, where they are progressing satisfactorily. =
