CHIC BATHING PRESSES.
The rage for stockinette bathing dresses of the combination type seems to be giving way to more elaborate models. . Taffeta, satins, failles, brocaded silks, cretonnes. and sports satins fashion the new models. Caps of rubberised silks, cretonne; or terry cloth, fashioned after the manner of the latest toques, are made to accompany such suits, which are not counted correct unless they include an elaborate bathing wrap ,to match. Some of the latest* of these are made up of wonderful Roman striped turkish towelling, lined with a bright colour; while others, cut like milij tarv capes, are made of % heavy-weight ' crash, the borders being . stencilled in Egyptian patterns. Short skirt bathing dresses made of shot taffeta silk, trimmed with inset borders of lattice work made of rouleaux of the same silk, have cape wraps to match. So gay in colour are these taffeta bathing suits that they have very much the same effect as smart dance dresses, many being made on the same chemise style, finished with floating aids panels and cashes..
