FRUIT, PRODUCE, FLOWERS.
The annual show of the Northern Suburban Agricultural and Horticultural Association was commenced yesterday in the Foresters' Hall, Takapuna. The showis limited this year to indoor exhibits, and there are no classes for horses or cattle. Fruit, vegetables, and flowers, all of good standard, were anions the exhibits, while there were also classes for jams and preserves, needlework and children's competitions.. A splendid collection of cut-flowers was exhibited by Mr. Kenry Brett and art attractive display of pot plants and ferns by Mr. J. Collins. Mr. A. H. Andrews, ok Greenhithe, exhibited a collection of fruit, mainly apples and lemons. The show was opened *in the afternoon by the Mayor of Takapuna, Mr. A. M. Gould; and was continued in the evening.
