PROHIBITION SCANDAL.
ANTI-SALOON OFFICIAL. SENTENCE OF IMPRISONMENT. Australian, and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 8. William Anderson, State superintendent of the Anti-Saloon League of New York, has been sentenced to imprisonment for a term between one and two years following his recent conviction in the third degree of forgery and splitting commissions with the former league fond collector. The Court declined to extend clemency, but granted a stay of sentence until next. Friday. In the meantime Anderson has resigned the presidency of the league.
