FATAL CONFLICT.
"WET" AND "DRY" FACTIONS. PROHIBITION LEADER DEAD. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11.40 p.m.) NEW YORK. Feb'. 9. A report from Marion, Illinois, states that a reputed leader of the Williamson County prohibition forces was killed and another seriously wounded, as a result of tension between "wet" and "dry" elements. Three policemen were also kidcapped.
County troops have been ordered to quell the disturbance.
