CONVIVIAL CONSPIRATORS.
INDICTMENT OF MAYOR. By Telegraph— it-ion— Copyright (Received 6.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. NEW YORK, Dec. 14. The New York Times reports that the Mayor and 24 other prominent citizens of Tiffin, Ohio, have been indicted by a Federal grand jury on a charge of conspiracy to manufacture and sell liquor. The activities of the group, which were spread over a large territory ajid involved an annual business believed to exceed 1,000,000 dollars, continued to operate unmolested by the Police Department as a result of the Mayor's influence. Several convivial parties held by the group, however, resulted in . a scandal •which could not be suppressed. The Federal grand jury, after investigating the case three months, ultimately returned the indictments.
