BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS. McCONACHY TO BE NOMINATED. [BX TELEGRAPH!—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Saturday A movement is on foot to send McConachy to England as New Zealand's representative in the billiard championships early next year. The entrance fee for this event was recently increased from £50 to £200. A meeting will be held here for tsfoe purpose of nominating McConachy. and billiard enthusiasts in Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin will be asked to endorse the action. •
u The world's billiard championship., ! which will be played in London during March and April next year, has especial interest in -j b * Clark McConachy, the New Zeala;;;.'. vL.mpion, intends to compete and will leave the Dominion this month for England. To raise funds fof the trip, sportsmen and enthusiasts intend holding a meeting in Auckland on Tuesday evening at 5 o'clock in the rooms of Billiards. Ltd., Strand Arcade.
