The committee, be said, hoped that the police would take th«» matter of Sunday trading : actively Zin hand, and see that every branch of the Licensing Act was taken notice of. and, if necessary, brought before the Court. Not; only was it necessary for hotelkeepers to observe the . law so far as. they were concerned, but non-observ-ance of the law was grossly -unfair to those hotelkeepers who did i observe it.
